Hey y'all! I'm Susan, aka The Sweary Therapist. As a 56 years old, queer, cis female, I've been around long enough to have gone through some rough experiences.


I get what anxiety is, what it feels like, and how it can interrupt a life because I live with anxiety to this day. The symptoms are annoying at best, debilitating at worse. It made hard days at work even worse, and shut down my family and personal life due to the overwhelming exhaustion from struggling with the symptoms.​

It's also why I know that therapy works to help reduce and manage anxiety to live a better quality of life.

And while I'm not an "all or nothing" kind of gal, and I'm honest on how long

I resisted doing so, getting meds to reduce the symptoms was a positive move. 


And really, it was worth the work in therapy and find the right med for me, to

become the badass of my own life, and make decisions without overwhelming

emotions and anxiety getting in the way.


Life was then about living it, not just surviving it.
